Armadillo strongly believes in our hometown and the talent that is being fostered locally. You could say we are big Calgary Cheerleaders in that respect. One of our key philosophies is to leverage the best talent in Southern Alberta to produce the best products for our clients.
Throughout the years we have been honoured to work with some great talent from the Calgary region, from great local designers to freelance copywriters .
So why Armadillo Studios? The name comes from a boyhood obsession with the furry little critters from Texas. The Texas connection to our furry little mascot also ties into Calgary’s strong Oil & Gas relationship with the Texas region and the popular SXSW Interactive Conference where the stimulus for the company was born.
Milo, our name for our favorite little mascot, was designed by Robert Machida a fantastic Illustrator from the Calgary region (Now residing in Vancouver).
