Early last week, Team Armadillo was more than happy to launch the official campaign web site for our good friend Troy Wason.
Troy is seeking the Calgary Vice President position for the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta. As a great friend of the company, we were more than willing to help his campaign team create a unique web site that would reflect Troy’s progressive and forward thinking philosophy. Using a combination of web fonts and the campaign’s minimalistic branding, we set about to create a site that would provide a clear and direct message to potential voters. As usual, this WordPress powered web site also showcases the campaign’s social media elements, while also allowing the campaign team to keep potential supports abreast of the latest events through the intuitive Content Management System.
We here at Armadillo Studios want to wish Troy all the best on the campaign trail and are excited to add TroyWason.ca to our growing portfolio of political campaign web sites.
About a week ago, Team Armadillo Studios was approached by Darren Harmon and our friends at “WMS Communications”:http://www.wmscommunications.com to help with a new project. Darren was looking for a fresh new look for his band’s web site (“http://harmonband.com”:http://www.harmonband.com) to coincide with a headlining gig at a local Calgary-based charity. So, armed with a tight timeline and a great new client, the team at Armadillo Studios set about revamping the band’s main site in time for the big show.
Armadillo Studios Inc., is very proud to announce that we are not only a major sponsor, but acting as the online technical support for the “1st Annual Calgary Seniors Walk”:http://www.calgaryseniorswalk.com. The Calgary Seniors Walk is being put on by our good friends at the “Canadian Legacy Project”:http://www.canadianlegacyproject.org, a great Calgary based non-profit that we have been working with for a few years. As you can see from the event’s web site, it’s sure to be an exciting event:
The 1st Annual Calgary Seniors Walk will take place on Thursday, August 30th on Stephen Avenue Mall in support of the Golden Age Club (“www.thegoldenageclub.com”:http://www.thegoldenageclub.com). This unique walk event will take place during the lunch hour and will cover the four blocks on Stephen Avenue Mall in downtown Calgary with the goal to raise awareness and much needed funds for The Golden Age Club. The Golden Age Club offers a variety of social, recreational, health and outreach programs for Calgary’s seniors population.
Armadillo Studios and Eco Living Inc are proud to launch “www.ecolivinginc.ca”:http://www.ecolivinginc.ca – the online home of Calgary’s newest Developer of Multi-Family homes.
Earliet this year the owners of Eco Living contacted Armadillo to help develop a brand new web site site, one which would be easy to update, accessible on mobile apps and would allow them to showcase the different elements of their business model. The main goal of the new Eco Living Inc site was to develop a contemporary HTML/CSS based web site that stood out against the local competition, through simplicity and ease of us.
Leveraging Eco Living’s existing branding development, Armadillo constructed a WordPress powered site built on a simple and intuitive layout design. The color scheme reflects the earth-tone nature of the company’s logo and their commitment to _Eco Logic_ developments. In addition, we also incorporated a simple photo sideshow in the sidebar, which will allow the Eco Living team to update their web site with photos of their latest products once they become available.
We are proud to launch this new site and look forward to seeing Eco Living’s business grow.
With the advent of online collaboration, it’s amazing at how fast a simple idea can go from a random thought to online collaboration to web site launch. Take our newly launched “yycPhotobook web site”:http://www.yycphotobook.com as an example.
After being approached by “Duncan Kinney”:http://www.duncankinneyblog.com, of “yycBlogs”:http://www.yycblogs.com fame, to take on the task of designing the layout for the new collaborative/crowsourcing photobook project – “yycPhotobook”:http://www.yycphotobook.com we quickly went to work on establishing a home base for the project. Utilizing a simple black, pink, and white color scheme and inspiration from Italian outfit “loveleft’s”:http://www.loveleft.com/ stunning use of typography, we have created a simple informational site to spread the word to calgary’s growing photography community.
Armadillo Studios will continue to post entries on the progression of the project, from the initial meeting to the development and publication of the project. So check back shortly.
